Elite U23
Ela Elite Mens U23
Ela Elite U23 has a full schedule again this summer. This year the team will play in the ISSA U23 men’s league during June and July. They will play in 2 local tournaments as well as the ISSA Illinois State Cup. The Ela Elite U23 team is coached by Robert Meschbach and Jeff Degroot. During the last two summers the team has had success winning the ISSA U23 summer league twice, Illinois State Cup twice, Region 2 Midwest Tournament and National Championship.
The team is a select team made up of students from local universities. All the team players play soccer at Division 1 or 3 Universities. The schools represented include, UW Madison, Marquette, DePaul, Western Illinois, UIC, Brown, Carthage, Northwestern, Bucknell, Northwestern and Valparaiso Universities. All the players come together during the summer to play high level soccer and tune their skills for the upcoming college school year. Last year Ela Elite sent three players to play professional soccer in Europe and the US.
