The 15 boys gold division opened with strong defensive play from both teams. In the 38th minute, Minneapolis United’s Juan Louis made a push up the side and took a shot on goal, which was deflected, but Mathew Gibbons was there for the rebound and tapped it past the Ela keeper to make it 1-0.

In the second half, both teams came out aggressively, looking for a score. In the 59th minute, United’s Colin McConkey made the score 2-0.

Ela Elite answered in the 74th minute with a goal by Ricardo Gonzalez who brought in hard pressure tight into the box.

The last score for Ela Elite wasn’t enough, however and MPLS United Black came away as champions of the 15 boys gold division, with a final score of 2-1.
